These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the LoggLogg mobile application and related services provided by LoggLogg Ltd (“LoggLogg”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By downloading, accessing or using LoggLogg, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the application.
1. About LoggLogg
LoggLogg is designed to make it quick and simple to create records connected with time, location and related information.
Depending on how you use the application, a record may include information such as:
- date and time;
- geographic location;
- a human-readable address where available;
- category or action information;
- notes or descriptions entered by you.
LoggLogg is a documentation tool. It is not an official certification, verification authority or evidence service.
2. No account required
The current version of LoggLogg can be used without creating a LoggLogg account.
Unless otherwise stated within the application or our Privacy Policy, records created in the current version are stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for making any copies of information that you wish to retain.
Deleting the application, resetting or replacing your device, storage failure, operating-system actions or other technical events may result in locally stored information being lost.
3. Time information and trust indicators
LoggLogg may use network-based time information to help determine whether the time associated with a record can be treated as trusted.
Where trusted network time is unavailable, LoggLogg may allow a record to be created using the device’s available time.
In such circumstances, the application may display an indication that the time could not be treated as trusted.
Any trust or integrity indicator provided by LoggLogg is an informational product feature only.
It does not constitute:
- legal certification;
- independent verification of an event;
- proof that every part of a record is accurate;
- authentication by LoggLogg Ltd;
- confirmation by a government, court or other authority.
A record originally created with an untrusted time indication is not made trustworthy merely because the device later reconnects to a network.
4. Location and address information
LoggLogg may use location information provided by your device, including GPS or similar location technologies.
Location accuracy can vary depending on circumstances such as:
- device hardware;
- satellite availability;
- buildings and surroundings;
- operating-system services;
- permissions;
- network availability;
- other technical conditions outside LoggLogg’s control.
GPS coordinates and human-readable addresses are not the same thing.
Your device may be capable of determining geographic coordinates without an internet connection, while resolving those coordinates into a street address or other human-readable location may require network access.
LoggLogg does not guarantee that a displayed location or address will always be available, complete or exact.
5. Your records are not guaranteed legal evidence
LoggLogg is designed to help users create records of time, location and related information.
We do not guarantee that any LoggLogg record will be accepted as legal evidence or independently verified proof by a:
- court;
- police authority;
- government authority;
- employer;
- insurer;
- business;
- contractual counterparty;
- or any other third party.
Whether a record is accepted or considered relevant depends on the circumstances and the rules applicable to the person or organisation reviewing it.
You should obtain appropriate professional advice where formal evidence or legal documentation is required.
6. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the information that you enter, create, copy, share or otherwise use through LoggLogg.
You must use the application lawfully and responsibly.
You must not use LoggLogg to:
- record or share information unlawfully;
- infringe another person’s privacy or legal rights;
- misrepresent information with the intention of deceiving another person;
- interfere with or damage the application or related infrastructure;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or services;
- use the application for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.
You are also responsible for determining whether your use of location or other information complies with applicable laws and obligations.
7. Driving and safety
Do not use LoggLogg in a way that distracts you while driving, operating machinery or performing another activity that requires your full attention.
You are responsible for complying with road-safety and device-use laws applicable to you.
LoggLogg is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon as a substitute for contacting emergency services, police, medical services or other appropriate authorities when immediate assistance is required.
8. Availability and accuracy
We work to make LoggLogg reliable, but no software or technical service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption or error.
LoggLogg may occasionally:
- be unavailable;
- contain bugs or technical errors;
- fail to obtain location information;
- fail to obtain trusted network time;
- fail to resolve an address;
- behave differently because of device or operating-system restrictions.
We may update, change, improve, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely or operate identically on every device or platform.
9. Third-party services and technology
Certain functions may depend on services, technologies or infrastructure provided by third parties, including device operating systems, network providers and location-related services.
Such services may be unavailable or may operate differently depending on your location, device, connection or provider.
Where third-party processing of personal information is relevant, further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
LoggLogg, including its software, branding, name, logo, design, graphics, text and other original material, is owned by or licensed to LoggLogg Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use LoggLogg for lawful personal or business purposes.
Unless permitted by applicable law, you may not:
- copy or redistribute the application as your own product;
- sell or sublicense LoggLogg;
- remove proprietary notices;
- reproduce LoggLogg branding without permission;
- attempt to derive or misuse proprietary source code.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of LoggLogg or its intellectual property to you.
11. App stores
If you download LoggLogg through the Apple App Store, Google Play or another authorised distribution platform, your use of that platform may also be subject to its own terms and conditions.
Where applicable, those platform terms apply in addition to these Terms.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Information about how LoggLogg handles personal information, location information, network-related processing and other relevant data is described in our separate Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of understanding how the application operates.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoggLogg Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, LoggLogg.
This may include loss arising from:
- inaccurate or unavailable location information;
- unavailable address information;
- inaccurate device information;
- network failure;
- lost or deleted local records;
- device failure;
- interruption of the application;
- reliance on a record by you or a third party.
You are responsible for deciding whether a LoggLogg record is suitable for the purpose for which you intend to use it.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. No professional advice
Information provided through LoggLogg is not legal, financial, medical, insurance or other professional advice.
If you require documentation that must satisfy specific legal, contractual, regulatory or professional requirements, you should obtain appropriate professional advice.
15. Suspension or discontinuation
We may restrict, suspend or discontinue access to LoggLogg or parts of the service where reasonably necessary, including for:
- maintenance;
- security;
- legal requirements;
- prevention of misuse;
- technical changes;
- discontinuation of a feature or service.
Where reasonably possible, significant changes will be communicated through the application, website or relevant app-store listing.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as LoggLogg develops or where legal, technical or operational requirements change.
The latest version will be made available through LoggLogg.com or another appropriate location.
The effective date at the top of these Terms indicates when the current version became effective.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
17. Consumer rights
These Terms do not remove or restrict any mandatory rights that you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
If the law in your country gives you rights that cannot legally be excluded by contract, those rights continue to apply.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on any jurisdictional rights that cannot legally be excluded.
